Athens doesn't need bigger government. It needs good information, clear records and a disciplined way of making important decisions.

Council should know what it is deciding, what it will cost, what alternatives were considered and what today's decision could mean five or ten years from now.

Modern tools can help a small municipality make better use of the staff and resources we already have — while preserving the experience and institutional knowledge that matter.

What I Believe

Good Councils are Built on Trust.

That means:

• Listening respectfully before making decisions.

• Spending taxpayers’ money carefully and wisely.

• Being open and transparent.

• Planning for the long term rather than simply reacting to today’s issues.

·       Protecting the character of our township while;

• Encouraging thoughtful opportunities for future growth.

My Goals Are Simple:

To help Council make decisions today that will still look wise twenty years from now.

For Athens it means Keep the Thrift, but Add Foresight.

If elected, I will:

• Prepare thoroughly before every meeting

• Ask respectful but important questions.

• Support good ideas regardless of where they originate.

• Work collaboratively with the Mayor, fellow councillors, staff, and residents.

• Always place the long-term interests of our community ahead of politics or personalities.
